About SATERN in Concord, CA.

This Concord, CA SATERN site is made of Hams (or Amateur Radio folks) who love to tell others
about what we do, and (if others are interested) how to get involved.

Of course, the first thing anyone should do is train to get their Amateur Radio License. This is
covered in the Concord Training page.

Many of us are also members of other Ham Clubs, like the Mt Diablo Amateur Radio Club.
Some of us teach a ham class in the evening. Some of us conduct the Monday night 2m net.
Some of us install and fix radios in the Salvation Army Radio Room or in other folk's quarters.
And some of us help to install a big antenna on a friend's property.

Some of us maintain this big truck (the Concord Canteen) and keep it stocked with necessary
supplies and fresh food. And some of us maintain this SATERNconcord webSite.

It's all volunteer work.
